Swatchkin is designed to work privately on your iPhone. It does not require an account, and the developer does not collect personal information, photos, color names, usage data, or diagnostics from the app.

How Swatchkin uses your photos

Swatchkin processes photos on your iPhone to sample colors and create color names. Photos are not uploaded for processing.

You can take a photo with the camera or choose a photo using Apple’s photo picker. Swatchkin uses only the photo you choose or take for the feature you request.

Information stored on your device

Colors, names, and source photos that you save are stored locally by Swatchkin. They remain there until you delete them or remove the app.

Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, Apple may include app data in an iCloud or device backup. Photos selected through Apple’s photo picker may also be retrieved from iCloud by the operating system. These Apple services are controlled by your Apple account and device settings, not by Swatchkin.

Sharing

Swatchkin shares nothing automatically. If you choose Share, iOS presents its standard share sheet and sends the share card only to the destination you select. The privacy practices of that destination apply after you share it.

Data collection and tracking

Swatchkin does not use accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud processing. The developer does not receive data about how you use the app.

Children’s privacy

Swatchkin does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
